Audio Visual Install

This week the most exciting progress was the visit of Noiseboys, the audio visual contractor who installed all the cabling and almost all of the audio visual equipment. This also included the induction loop which is the modern technology which runs under the floor to assist those who use hearing aids. This provides an even experience throughout the room, in comparison to the older hearing aid loops which run around the permitter of a room. The acoustic panels are also being built behind the platform and in the cafe space which will eventually be clad with the same pallet wood finish as the coffee bar and the storage wall in the main sanctuary. Progress continues across the project including installation of the tea prep areas, and flooring.

Acoustic Panels

Acoustic panels have been included in the design to absorb excess sound and reduce reverb in the sanctuary and also in the cafe. These are built from simple materials, with a wooden frame, rock wool insulation which will be covered by a black material overlay then clad with pallet wood.

Tea Prep Areas

The four tea prep areas in the building are now being installed. These are for the staff office, the creche, meeting room 1 and the large counselling room.
