This week saw the installation of the hot air ducts, pipework and electrical containment in the sanctuary roof space. These will all remain exposed in keeping with the ‘industrial’ theme. The front entrance roof is also now 90% complete, and the first fix joinery is 95% complete. Taping and filling is ongoing throughout the building. Once first fix is complete, second fix mechanical and electrical can begin, as well as door installation, decoration and exterior works.

Air Handling Unit In Position

The air handling unit which will serve the sanctuary is also now in position, this will convert the energy from hot water from the district heating system into warm air, allowing the temperature in the sanctuary to be easily controlled and rapidly heated on cold winter mornings. It will also provide ventilation to the space.
